As for the scene, why dont you submit the model to the Blender community and let someone else start you off with the modelling, and make it a group work in progress type of thing!
It could be a cool idea, where the whole community collaberates!
Just set the renderer to Yafray and then in the "Format" box of the render settings (where you change the resolution of the image), change the box where it says "Targa Raw" or "Targa" to PNG by selecting it from the drop-down menu.
Then when you save the image, you need to add the .PNG extension, rather than the .TGA.
By the way, did you know that you can output PNG files straight from Blender? There is usually no need to render it as a TARGA and then convert it
